Coca-Cola’s Classic Christmas, an immersive holiday event featuring a Christmas Light Maze and a shopping announced the launch of Kids Light Up The Night during select event dates this season. Designed to make the wonder of Classic Christmas more accessible for families, it will offer 2,500 complimentary tickets to area youth.

Classic Christmas debuts Nov. 22 and runs through Dec. 29 at Choctaw Stadium in Arlington. Details for reserving the available free tickets can be found at www.classicchristmas.com/kids-light-up-the-night/dallas-tx-choctaw-stadium. All guests must be ticketed and free tickets part of this initiative are first-come, first-served.

“At Classic Christmas, we believe the magic of the holiday season should be shared by all,” stated Derek Alexander, vice president of commercial and digital at Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages, in a press release.

Parents and guardians can secure their family’s spot by reserving free kids’ tickets on select nights through the Classic Christmas website. Adult tickets can be purchased for the same night.

In addition to 55,000 square feet of light sculptures with custom and interactive Cola-Cola-inspired displays, the event will feature:

  • Market Square – Taste seasonal delights and shop for holiday gifts from a local assortment of vendors showcasing their wares.
  • Ice Skating –  Skate amidst the lights with those you love – this is a unique ice skating experience.
  • Snow Slide –  Hop on an inner tube and glide down the thrilling Classic Christmas Snow Slide.
  • Live Entertainment – Guests will get into the spirit with nightly caroling throughout the venue and more local, seasonal artist features.
  • Visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus – Santa and Mrs. Claus will take photos in his workshop.

Plano-based JCPenney recently announced Jamey Perry for JCPenney, a limited-time collaboration featuring fashionable and functional apparel for women who use wheelchairs. The exclusive collection is the latest extension of JCPenney’s commitment to adaptive apparel offerings, a press release stated.

Available in women’s sizes XS-XXL, the collection ranges from $44-$99 and includes 18 different styles such as blazers, dress slacks, blouses and cocktail outfits, providing options for all occasions. The collection is designed to reduce common issues women in wheelchairs experience when dressing and wearing apparel, including well-placed zippers for easy access; positioning pockets to be maximally useful to a seated person; using soft, breathable fabrics to reduce skin irritation; extending back rises to accommodate seated wearers; shortening sleeves to prevent interference with wheels; and waistband loops to make dressing easier.


Blue Goose Cantina reopened in Highland Village after a remodel. The family-owned restaurant on Barton Creek refreshed its 5,500-square-foot space, including its 263-seat dining area, a press release stated.

The renovated space features a grand patio for outdoor dining, a bar with high-definition TVs for sports and entertainment viewing and décor that includes Loteria artwork and tile work.

U.S. Oral Surgery Management President and CEO Richard Hall recently received the SCALE Community MSO Excellence Award, which recognizes excellence in health care management.
