European Wax Center (NASDAQ: EWCZ), the Plano-based franchisor and operator of out-of-home waxing services, introduced Eyebrow Tint to its service portfolio on Aug. 1. The company has been provides its popular brow services and products in 45 states. The service is semi-permanent and adheres to even the smallest hairs around the brow to deliver a fuller, bolder brow look.
The service is priced the same as a Brow Wax ($25; prices vary by location) and is available nationally except where restricted or prohibited by state or local regulations, a press release stated.
Ronald Sterling Jr. is the new principal of Denton Independent School District‘s Myers Middle School, a district press release stated. He replaces Trey Peden, who now is an associate principal of Denton High School.
Separately, Chukwumeziri “Chuks” Orabuchi is the new principal of Davis School, the district’s disciplinary alternative education program. Orabuchi was an assistant principal at Strickland Middle School, replaces Ronnie Watkins, who resigned at the end of school year to pursue other interests.
Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum announced the Hidden History: Recounting the Shanghai Jewish Story, an exhibit that shares the hidden history of Jewish refugees who fled to the port of Shanghai, China, in the 1930s and 1940s. It opens today and is presented by Texas Instruments.

The exhibition presents artifacts, survivor stories and photographs from American photojournalist Arthur Rothstein, who documented the wartime Shanghai Jewish community in 1946 for the United Nations.
“Featuring over 100 primary-source artifacts that bring the refugee story to life, we curated Hidden History to amplify unheard stories and teach the social relevancy of history to inspire change,” stated Jordanna Gessler, one of the exhibits co-curators, in a press release.
“This is an exhibit about immigrants looking for opportunity, refugees fleeing identity-based violence, and a community that worked together to support one another and rescue 20,000 refugees,” stated Christie Jovanovic, a co-curator, in the same release.
National InDemand, a leader in the construction and installation of high-speed fiber networks, opened its second corporate office in Lewisville. The office on Stemmons Freeway joins the company’s headquarters in Burlington, North Carolina, a press release stated.
“With crews operating coast to coast, having a central location in Texas allows us to optimize our operations, streamline communication and enhance our overall efficiency,” stated CEO Douglas Boteler in a press release.
Richard Jordan, the company’s new executive vice president, will work in the Lewisville office.
Keep Irving Beautiful recently welcomed a group of Girl Scouts and their adult sponsors to Lively Park for a beautification service project. The scouts, all part of a travel club, and their sponsors applied fresh paint to metal safety handrails leading to the trails and those next to Lively Point Youth Center.
They donated 18 service hours, a press release stated.
